So because of my internet-ular difficulties, I’m a bit behind on my posting.
But the good news is that I’ve finally added the photos to the Scotland post (that was exhausting…really)! Big thanks to Mark & Dete and Mom & Wes for their super wired households! Nathan, I’ll be over for the FiOS next!
I’m in the US! Celebrating the birthdays of the U.S.A. (231 years old) and my Dad (slightly younger than our country)! I’ll be getting some posts out about those before I leave!! I’m determined!
Hope everyone had a Happy Independence Day!!
Haven’t we all said that at least once in our lives.
I’ve said it more times than I can count in the last week. Alas, my wifi connection is not very good right now (since we’re “borrowing” it from a neighbor). So I’ve had a little bit of frustration uploading photos and posting blog stuff. So my best laid plans…
Anyway, here’s a quick post until I can get a more reliable wifi connection.
I’ve signed up for Italian classes that begin this coming Monday! Yea! Part of my tuition includes “free” wifi connection. So keep your fingers crossed that it is better/faster/more reliable than what I’ve got right now! All those iTunes purchases are just queued up and waiting for my little computer to get um!
Up coming trips will probably be Sweden and perhaps Scotland. We’re also tossing around locations for a potental vacation week in August! Yea! Maybe Greece. Perhaps Corsica. Not sure yet.
If you are thinking you want to come visit, you need to let us know what dates you are “thinking about” now. I would love to have visitors, but most of you that have expressed interest have not really been that communicative about dates. We are starting to make plans for ourselves, so if you want us to be here when you are, please tell us when you MIGHT be coming. It looks like we can accommodate up to 4 guests at a time. Thanks in advance for your cooperation
Ok, I hope everyone is well! Hopefully will get a good post up on Monday!
It’s been raining… a LOT. Since April 15th. It’s been pretty cold too…in the high 30s and 40s.
We’ve been lucky so far, only 5 hours without power. Our basement has been relatively dry. Although our garage has had up to 1 inch of water. Not too bad. I walked our property line today and saw a lot of tree limbs down, but nothing major.
Others have not been that lucky (see what CNN has to say).
I went to the grocery store last night. They were only taking cash since their phone lines were down. Not a problem for me since I am still only cooking for one!
My aunt, who lives in the next town, was essentially flooded in…almost all of the roads out of town were washed out. These are the reasons why almost everyone in our area has at least one 4 wheel drive vehicle.
I’m looking forward to 70 degrees and sun in Milan!
